Variables
Black Tern
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with more than 6%
of wetlands and wet shrubland and with varied topography. Where less
wetlands and wet shrubland, it occurred mostly in hexagons with June
minimum temperature (hex. max.) of 3-5 C, especially if July
maximum temperature (hex. avg.) is 26.08-30.15 C. The logistic
regression analysis showed positive or negative association with
elevation (hex. avg.), number of land cover types, topographic
variation, ponderosa pine mixed conifer forest (Northeast Oregon),
wetlands and wet shrubland, and-to a lesser degree-July
precipitation (hex. med.)
